Suppose you have hot fluid and cold water, what fluid you
should flow in shell side and tube side in a shell and tube
heat exchanger and why
Answer Posted / gopi
the answer depends on the situation. like for example if i
want to condense the hot liquid then i will pass hot liquid
in tube side and & cold liquid on shell side. and if i want
to heat the fluid then we will pass hot liquid in shell side
& cold liquid in tube side for getting more heat transfer area.
