Hi friends,
To begin with i attended the TECHMAHINDRA campus interview
at DAYANANDSAGAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING,BANGALORE. The day started on a
positive note. To begin with there was preplacement talk for an hour. After
which we would be havin our online aptitude test.I had my test scheduled in
the 2nd batch so I had to wait till 12:30 or so to attend the test.
The interview consists of 3 rounds:-
*Aptitude test
*Technical interview
*HR interview
*Aptitude test
It consists of two sections divided into 50 minutes and 30
minutes. The analytical,verbal,non-verbal,quantitative apti all come in
first section which u need to answer for 70 marks. Be very quick in this
section , there will be sectional cut-off,no negative marking.The second
section consists of English where you will have to answer 100 questions in
30 minutes. If you are good at English don’t worry ,I finished this section
in 22-23 minutes. R S Agarwal is sufficient for apti.
After finishing this round they told they would announce
the results. They did announce it after an hour , and my name was one
amongst the 80 students that were short listed.
*Technical interview
The technical interview began soon after the aptitude
results were announced. My interview was on the next day as there were so
many candidates, on the following day I had my interview. He asked me my
name,later tell me about yourself,after which he started asking questions
on the project which I had done. Probably this was an advantage for
considering the fact that many hadn’t done projects.In the technical round
be CONFIDENT and most importantly honest i.e. answer questions you know and
the one’s you don’t know frankly tell you don’t know.After the technical
rond I was confident.
*HR interview
HR interview is quite easy , he asked me few general
questions on the current topics, and later he asked me any questions-never
miss this opportunity of asking him some good questions about the company .
Be clear in whatever you say.
Your soft skills count along with your technical knowledge
so take care of your soft skills.After the interview they told they will be
announcing the results after an hour. They did announce the results the
people who had come to hire were friendly and good. The names of all
selected candidates were read out. My name was one amongst them I WAS VERY
HAPPY. I was selected in my very first interview.47 students were selected
from our college. I thanked my parents , teachers and GOD.
So its all about being yourself on the day of your interview,it doesn’t
matter whether you are a topper or an average student,its using your skills
on the day of interview. All the best friends.
