In any Industry, Which voltage level either 3.3kV or 6.6KV
to be chosen? Then I would like to know ,Is there any cost
consideration or Rating of motor?
Answer Posted / kunal
for cost consideration of motor: It is tradeoff.. now if
high voltage rating is selected less current will flow for
same load . this will save costs on copper but at the same
time cost of insulation will increase. .....if lower voltage
is chosen then higher currents will result for same load. so
higher cost of copper but reduced cost of insulation.
for consideration of voltage for industry depends on the
load. and if heavy loads are present usually higher volatges
are chosen as losses due to current are far more.
MW rated motors will always be run on higher voltages.
higher the better.

1. The DC generaror,s induced output emf is connected with a DC motor(as load). when increasing the load of the motor by using brake drum or any way. what are the parameters will changes in both motor and generator(voltage, current, resistance, frequency, speed, torque, power, flux etc...) 2. Similarly for AC generator and AC motor 3. similarly if using DC batteries instead of DC generator, What happens?
