#vxresize -g diskgroup_name volume_name -size
eg: vxresize -g datadg datavol -2g
above command reduces both volume size and file system size
or
# vxassist -g datadg shrinkby datavol 2g
above command reduces only volume
for file system reducing need to use "fsadm" command
