hi summerization is a way to shorten a routing table
entries.. example.. lets say we have a router A and it has
5 interface configured with network 10.1.2.0//
10.1.3.0// 10.1.4.0// 10.1.5.0// 10.1.6.0----
and If Router A advertizes its route to ROuter B giving
updates for routes ((written in short form) 2.0 3.0
4.0 5.0 6.0 individually wud make a big routing table..
imagine its only one router .. if we have 4 routers it will
make a BIG routeing table. which needs more processing ..
SO to save processing speed and make shorter routing tables
we have summarization.. remember if router follows
summarization.. it will only advertize 10.1.0.0 and this
single route will advertize all other routes in other
interface/// catch is all the routes should be of same ip
class..10.1 it cant be 172.16.0 etc.. summarization is of
2 kind manual and auto..
