HOW TO FIND THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OF TRANSFORMER(IN OFF
CONDITION) USING MULTIMETER? IS IT POSSIBLE FIND BY SEEING
RESISTANCE???
Answer Posted / rahul bawangade
as per working principle transformer , there is no primary &
secondary of transformer . transformer can be work in either
ways.
but if we have to check HV & LV we can do with multimeter .
as per transformer ratio
V1/V2=N1/N2=I2/I1. ................eqn 1
&
R =rho L/A . ...............eqn 2
\
as LV side requirement of current more & no of turns are
less , & cross sectional area of conductor is lare as per
eqn no.1& 2,resistance offered by conductor is less as
compare to HV .
