What is difference between metal clad & metal enclosed
switchgear?
Answer Posted / gurumurthy.k
The Simple reply is " A metal clad can be a metal enclosed
but a metal enclosed can not be metal clad". Which
means , the Metal enclosed need not have a compartments
within its structure, can have fixed interupting medium and
and safety related issues. These are applicable for a low
coltage swicth board but metal clad is more apt for medium
coltage.
