considering the 3phase and single phase ac system the load
applied and the volage given is same...will the current
differs for both the cases are it wil remain same?
Answer Posted / shyamkr
i think that current will depend on star or delta
configuration of load.when it is star connected line current
=phase current so in this case current will remain same as
in single phase, while when load is delta connected current
will become /sqrt 3 times the line current and current will
vary in that case.

A 400 V, 50 Hz, Δ connected synchronous generator has a field reactance of 0.1 Ω and armature resistance of 0.015 Ω. At full load, the machine supplies 1200 A at 0.8 pf lagging. Under full-load conditions, the friction and windage losses are 40 KW and the core losses are 30 KW. What is the machine’s overall efficiency? Ignore any field circuit losses.

in cvt, there are two windings,1a,1n and 2a,2n.in my one project i use only one winding i.e.1a,1n. the other winding is not in use, so i connect it in open delta and want to close it by ibsertibg thermal resistor. the output of cvt is 132kv/115/sqrt3. plesae tell me exact value of resistor, so i may close it to avoid the resonance phenomenin. send me answer on this email adress please. aetcon-po@aetcon.com
