I want to create a 30Gb of size in three different disks
10Gb,5Gb and 15Gb respectively in VxVm , how can we create
it kindly explain step by step procedure.
Answer Posted / arulkumar
Ex: Three different disks.
c0t0d0 -- 10Gb
c0t1d0 -- 5Gb
c0t2d0 -- 15Gb
#vxdctl enable
#vxdisksetup -i c0t0d0
#vxdisksetup -i c0t1d0
#vxdisksetup -i c0t2d0
Create a disk group.
#vxdg init -g <dgname> vxdiskname=c0t0d0
#vxdisk -g <dgname> adddisks vxdiskname=c0t1d0
vxdiskname=c0t2d0
#vxdg list -- Now we can see the newely created dg is
created to 30Gb
To see the maximum size of the volume;
#vxassist -g <dgname> maxsize
#vxassist -g <dgname> make <volume-name> <size-30G>
if it is ufs,
#newfs /dev/vx/rdsk/dgname/volume-name
#mount /dev/vx/dsk/dgname/volume-name /mount-point
