Can anybody explain Why starters are not used for motor
starting in industries?
Answer Posted / pillay
Is your question correct? All motors must be started with some
type of starters what more if they are used for industrial
purpose.
In addition to provide a safe mean of starting and stopping
the motor it should be able to to protect the motor itself.
With the help of a starter you can provide overcurrent and earthfault protection unauthorised starting unwanted stopping
and you can plan your starting and stopping as desired.
