how the specific fuel consumption of 320 kva deisel
genarator set (explain with formulas please)?
Answer Posted / robbie thakur
Specific fuel consumption of any diesel generator can be
determined by following formula
Specific fuel consumption = units generated by
generator/diesel consumption to generate these units
=units(kwhr)/diesel(ltr)
for example a generator cosume 48 ltr diesel to generate
167 units then it,s sfc (specific fuel consumption ) will
be= 167/48= 3.47 it means it will generate 3.47 units
in one ltr diesel.
