Two lamps have tungsten filaments. The resistances of two
lamps at incandescence are r and R, R being greater than r.
These lamps are connected in series. Then
(1) The lamp with resistance r will shine more brightly
(2) The lamp with resistance R will shine more brightly
(3) Both will shine equally brightly
(4) No prediction can be made regarding brightness
