In our state we get Incentive for maintaining Power Factor
over and above 0.90 Lagging till Unity.
Secondly, Maintaing Power Factor at Unity keeps your
distribution system healthy resulting in low line losses
within your premises as well inputs of your premises.
This is wrong statement that it will lead to burning of
equipments and premature failure of electrical equipment.
