Beta Testing is done by the users who will use the particular product and for Beta testing a Beta version of the software is released, you can see currently in Facebook they are asking Facebook users to be a beta Tester.
Doing beta testing different functionalities of the application can be tested which may be missed by Testers/Developers because its a real time testing.
After beta testing more improved version of the software is released.
Alpha testing : is the testing done by developer/tester on
developmnet center in presence of coustomer.

Can anybody write the test cases for the following scenario. I want to create District. for that, District Code field, District Name field, Reset button, Submit button, Back button are there in the screen. whenever we enter District Code & District Name in the related fields, by clicking on Submit button, District should be created. hi all I have an overall experience of 12 years working in an EDP setup(worked in a manufacturing setup in a German MNC). On my request, I was relieved from my duties in Sep 06 for maternity reasons. However I would like to pursue a career in a software organization as a manual tester.
