why capacitor bank always connected in delta, why not in
star to a system?
Answer Posted / madhu
c is capacitor connected.
In delta connecton,
source 3ph grounded star,
Q(per phase)=(omega)*(3*c)*V^2
In star connecton,
source 3ph grounded star,
Q(per phase)=(omega)*(c)*V^2.
so with low value of c we are able to supply more reactive
power in delta than in star.
