tv adds is not direct marketing as it is focussed on the mass and we r not ending to a sale through tv advertisements,in case of direct marketing we focus on our target customers and contact them directly through mails,spams,calls etc.and try make a sale.some examples of direct marketing are well known asian sky shop where customer can reach us back on the given phone numbers and which can be converted into sales,where as after seeing an add in tv people cannot reach back to the company unless and until a help line no. is provided in the add,and if the help line number is provided in the add,then that add can be termed as direct marketing tool. sending catalouges to target customers is also direct marketing.
