the distance from my office to d.g is aprox 400mtrs and
voltage drops ibn my office near about 40 volt what should

You should check the cable size which you are using from
your office to DG set. May it will need to increase the size
of cable.
If you are not using this DG set for another purpose then
you can increase the generator voltage by AVR to get the
suitable voltage in your office.
If the cable is heated during the load then you will have to
increase the cable size.
