why we are not using the unit joule for torque instead of N-m.

since joule is the unit of work.and work is equal to force
multiply by distance moved because of action of force.but in
case of torque which is equal to force multiplied by
perpendicular distance from it,can not be the force.so joule
can not be used for torque.
