what is the difference between delta-delta, delta-star
transformer???
Answer Posted / raj
delta delta transformer is used in generating systems and
transmission systems because voltage is major
consideration(voltage is stepped up to above 11 or 33kv i.e
220 or 440kv) and delta star transformer is a distribution
transformer(stepped down to 11kv or 440v) because current is
major consideration, in distribution systems we need a
neutral, so the neutral point is taken from star connection.
