For Class C Address, there are 8 host/subnet bits :-
255.255.255.0
We want 10 subnets :-
2*2*2=8 (less than 10.)
2*2*2*2=16 (fullfill the requirement of 10.)
We see that here 4 bits are required for 10 subnets.
128 192 224 240 248 252 254 255
1 1 1 1 0 0 0 0
So the mask is 255.255.255.240
