how we can select a transformer based on a particular load.
suppose we have 4 motors of rating 40 h.p , 50 h.p, 80 h.p
& 100 h.p. then what rating of transformer we can select.

40+50+80+100
=270HP
1 HP=746Watt
270HP=201.42KW
Power Factor@.7=287KVA
Loading on Transformer 85%=337KVA
So we can use 400KVA transformer for this motors is okey.
