Is a DC Transformer Possible? if Yes, Then Why, if not Then Why?

it is possible for small applications.the ransformer will
work for small period of time for given DC input as it will
produce little amount of flux for some time, but not
constant.as the flux is not constant, we prefer AC
transformer.
