Severity is defined by the tester. Severity defines the how
severe is the defect like critical, high severity, medium
and low severity.
Priority is defined by the developers. Priority defines how
soon the defect need to be fixed
For EX.
In the banking application after completing the transaction
we have click submit. BUT SUBMIT BUTTON LEBAL DOESNOT
UNDERSTAND THE USER. THAT TIME HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR
APPLICATION.that time user is confused.
Low Priority is if there same application when submit your
transaction using submit button and submit successfully.
but it's only spelling error not function error.
