. The amendment regarding the formation of a new state by
separating territory from any other state must be passed by
(1) Both the Houses of Parliament
(2) Only Lok Sabha
(3) Only Rajya Sabha
(4) Both the houses and before that the opinion of that
state is to be ascertained by the president
