It will actually decrease. Ice is less dense than liquid
water because all 4 hydrogen bonds on the water molecule is
bonded and is the reason ice floats on water. So if you
submerge the ice cube, it will melt and become more dense
and the liquid water level will go down.
Note the water level will go up when you put the ice cube in
the water, but it will go down some after it melts but not
back to its level before the ice was placed in the water
