what will happen while giving 2 phase supply to 3 phase motor
Answer Posted / sanjay mandal
as there was no rotating flux, so there was no question of
any rotation.the motor will burn.the two coils connected in
series ( against which you have connected the two phase
supply ) will carry huge current ( limited by the impidance
of the coils )and ultimately cause it to burn.( this is
most commonly named as single phasing in 3 phase system.
