why is the core of the underground cable is spiral in shape
instead of straight?
Answer Posted / kishor bankar
Under ground cable should be in spiral in shape
insteed of straight, because in staight position there is
formation of capacitance,so charge will develop on core,
due to this cable will be heated.
Also to avoid transposition effect cable should be
run in straight shape in underground.
