what is the difference between between open delta and
broken delta?

Answer Posted / kc

An open delta is 2 transformers connected in delta. It is
used to get three phase power using 2 transformers.
A broken delta is 3 transformers connected in delta, but
not closing the delta. The voltage across the open corner
of the delta is used for voltage polarizing or ground
detection.
