How electrical power is generated by an A.C Generator ?
Answer Posted / jaru
for the generation of elect power we need a prime mover
which supplies mechanical power input to the alternator, can
be steam turbines ,or hydroturbines.when poles of the rotor
moves under the armature conductors which r placed on the
stator ,field flux cut the armature conductor, therefore
voltage is generated.and is of sinusoidal in nature...due to
polarity change of rotor poles that is N-S-N-S..

how to find 5 kilo meter long under ground 33 kv cable fault location if IR VALUE shows 0.05 M ohm @5000 volt.and cable fault locator shows some time fault distance 3 kilo meter ,3.7 kilo meter and some time 1 kilo meter? now how to find the fault location that where is leakage. note--it is tested with 5000 kv megger and insulation resistance is 0.05 M ohm. and some time 0.03 M ohm comes.

Hi, Next week Iam appearing RRB exam for section engineer. So help me to get modal question papers for this position. Iam very thankful to you. Whether question will be fully techanical format or general form. Please give me a details regarding this exam.
If any HVDC line is going with positive & negative(the negative usually have return path of current with earthing electrode). Now the question is if this HVDC earthed electrode which is using as return path and earthed any nearby 400kv or 220kv AC substation equipments. which will be the impact of this on AC substation & its equipment, how severe may be this and what should be the minimum distance require between HVDC earthed electrode and AC substation equipments? It's really an high engineering level question...Dare to answer and increase your knowledge.

During Testing of Maintenance Free Earthing, How deep should be the Spikes of Earth Test Meter should be inserted in the soil(one spike is 15 Meter & Other spike is 30 Mtrs away from the Main Earth Electrode. Because, recently, we observed that when spike is inserted 3-4 Inch in the earth- results are better, If spike is inserted 1 feet deep than results are increasing.
