Is there any difference between load based power plant and
coal based power plant?
Answer Posted / iamdon
Yes.
Coal based power palnt is established at the site of coal
centres(mines).Modern trend is of coal based power plant.
Since now we are well advanced in electrical technology and
also we dont want to be affected with transportaion
problem.So the choice is obvious.
Load based power plants are established at the load centres
(industries). This was earlier choice of thermal power
plants so as to reduce transmission cost as we were in
intial stage of technology. The major difficuly with load
based power plant was frequent transportation problem.
