Hi All,
Can anyone help me...I have a doubt in master idoc and
communication
idoc generation.
1.what is master idoc.
2.what is communication idoc.
3.if i want to send the five records throgh BD10 then how
may no of
master and communication idocs will generate depends on
what they are
generating the master and communication idocs.
please i need urgently.

Master Idoc is an Idoc which consists of all the data
pertaining to that message and Idoc type and is independent
of the receiver.This is stored in memory and can not be
viewed.When we execute a BD10 for a range of
materials ,only one master Idoc will be created
irrespective of the number of recivers.
Communication Idoc is the Idoc pertaining to the specific
receiver .This contains data that the receiver accepts.It
means tha data from the master Idoc is filtered for a
specific receiver based on the filter
conditions,versions,conversions mentioned in the
Distribution Model and then the communication Idoc will be
created.
If there is one receiver,then
To send 10 materials at a time through BD10 tcode,
one Master Idoc
One communication Idoc having 10 data records in it for
these 10 materials for one receiver.
If there N number of recivers,then
To send 10 materials at a time through BD10 tcode,
one Master Idoc
One communication Idoc having 10 data records in it for
these 10 materials for each receiver.So N number of
communications Idocs.
