Answer Posted / anees shaikh
ROM IS A READ ONLY MEMORY AND IT IS USED IN MAINTAINING THE
CONFIGURATION OF THE SYSTEM AND IT IS VOLATILE IT MEANS THE
MOMENT THE POWER IS UNPLUGGED LIKE FOR AN INSTANT THE
BATTERY WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE MOTHERBOARD TO KEEP THE
CONFIGURATION DIES THE ROM IS ERASED
RAM : IT IS RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY WHICH IS NON VOLATILE AND
CAN RETAIN DATA EVEN AFTER THE POWER IS UNPLUGGED SOME
EXAMPLES ARE SOLID STATE HDD WHICH HAS MEMORY CHIPS IN IT
