ferranti effect is mostly occur on EHV transmission line ,
Ferranti effect is effect where receiving end voltage is
greater than sending end voltage, this is happened because
of following reason ;
1) Due to the line charging capacitor voltage between the
line and ground , adding some voltage into the line , that
will cause to get higher voltage at receiving end.
2) At load light load condition , compensation devices at
receiving end for voltage compensation adding the voltage
into the system , that will cause to get the higher
voltage
