How to identify the whether its an isolator or Breaker in
MDB
Answer Posted / sunil parmar
circuit breaker only opens only when there is a fault
condition or fault current or abnormal conditions is sensed
by CT via protecting relay via CB --(opens)
after then the isolator is opened manually or automatically.
but at the time of maintenance or future expansion in the
line the isolator is opened first followed by breaker and
then the charge within the lines are discharged then the
maintenance work is carried out..........
for any disagreement reply me on parmar20072008@yahoo.com

3 shows a 415 V, 3-phase generator supplying a 3-phase 415/110 V transformer. Draw the individual and combined impedance diagrams to a base of 10 kVA. Determine the system fault kVA and the fault currents at the 415 V and 110 V busbars for short circuit faults on the transformer input or output terminals. Work in p.u. values of impedances.
