Amalgamation is taken to mean the union of two or more
companies,so as to form a third entity or one company is
absorbed into another company. thus, the formation of a new
company is not absolutely necessary for amalgamation.

Motive: To reduce the accumulation of heavy cenvat To claim the refund of duty drawback, duty paid on raw material components, parts, packing material & others applicable inputs under Section 4A of valuation act.
