we have to take same size disk compare to root disk.
echo|format
attach a disk
vxscan disk
vxdctl mode enable
encapsulate the root disk
initialize the mirror disk
reboot the server
add the mirror disk to diskgroup
vxrootmir rootdisk mirrordisk
and boot the mirrordisk

Before upgradation the date command output(Solaris 9) Wed Oct 13 09:45:21 IST 2010 But after upgradation the output for date is as below(solaris 10).
