Testing methodology means
The process of testing of sw application
in different situations,phases and on different types of
applications
some Methodologies are
1.Adhoc Testing
2.system Testing
i. Functional Testing
ii. Security Testing
iii.Performance Testing
iv. Usability Testing
vi. User interface Testing
3.Poratability testing
4.Multibrowser compatibility testing
5.Installation testing
7.Integration testing
8.Sanity Testing
9.Retesting
10.Regression Testing
11.End to end Testing......etc
All these testing methodologies are not compulsory in
testing an application.
It depends on the type of application.
for eg:if we take ordinary web appilication it is very
important to conduct
1.GUI testing
2.Performance testing
3.Usability testing
4.compatibility testing
Bcoz web appilication must work at very fast speed.
if you take any online banking application
Then security testing is very important.

Hello. I am not here to answer your question. I jus found a job as software QA engr. And i am totally new to software testing. So can someone pls help me in the following scenario? there is this registration screen, and it contain: One textbox called Nickname which only accept alphanumerical One textbox called Contact which only accept numerical, One textbox called Email which can be filled with alphanumerical and symbol and One button called Register now becos there is so many textboxes, where i can filled with alphabet, number, symbol, "just space", leading zeros, leading space. there will be lots of combination. can someone pls help.. i will be appreciated if u can post the test case of the scenario i mentioned.
