ac generator: its work on the principles of electro
magnetic induction.according to the faradays law.
dc generator:-whenever current carring conductor placed in
magnetic field then rotating magnetic field produced in it.

When a capacitor is connected in a transmission line, capacitor also takes energy from the same supply. But how is it able to increase the terminal voltage???
