As a tester what type of document req. on tester's banch to
design the test cases and for executon.what will be the
practical approch If we are using excel-sheet.through excel-
sheet how tester communicat with developrs about the test
cases and resut and what will be the cycle of testing
betwen tester and developers.what type of MANGEMNT TOOL
(like VSS) should be used (PLEASE IN DETAIL)by tester if he
is workink in small company.

For writing test cases tester should have SRS ,Design
specification ,FSD (Function specification
document)etc.Tester can use spread sheet for writing test
cases though for reporting bugs (communicating bugs to
developer) bug tracking system should be used .Many open
source bug tracking systems are available on web like
bugzilla,bugbase,bug tracker etc hence even small companies
can use those tools.Bug life cycle is followed while actual
testing.Bug life cycle is mentioned many times in this forum
do refer that.

Hi Friends, I have completed 3 rounds of an Interview with HR discussion also and got Offer letter from Cognizant, but after in 30 min they send one more email like Offer is on Hold, and its not valid... Hello. I am not here to answer your question. I jus found a job as software QA engr. And i am totally new to software testing. So can someone pls help me in the following scenario? there is this registration screen, and it contain: One textbox called Nickname which only accept alphanumerical One textbox called Contact which only accept numerical, One textbox called Email which can be filled with alphanumerical and symbol and One button called Register now becos there is so many textboxes, where i can filled with alphabet, number, symbol, "just space", leading zeros, leading space. there will be lots of combination. can someone pls help.. i will be appreciated if u can post the test case of the scenario i mentioned.
