If you see the HRC fuse name plate. Its shown ampere rating
shown which is in many KA (like 80KA and so on). any body
explain what is meaning of this value?

Answer Posted / x man

KA for any protective device is the Maximum Ampere rating
that the device can withstand for 1-3sec.its rated like
this because in some instances there will be high spike in
current.
And the Rated current of fuse is the current above which
the load should be protected beyond this rating.

KA depends on the system capacity and the rated current
depends on the load rating
