A fluorescent lamp or fluorescent tube is a gas-discharge
lamp that uses electricity to excite mercury vapor. The
excited mercury atoms produce short-wave ultraviolet light
that then causes a phosphor to fluoresce, producing visible
light.

Can any one give an explanation about rating factors of cable? if we are laying the cable on the air with an temp 15 degree then rating factors will be 1.15 and if we are laying the cable on the air an temp 60 degree then rating factor will be 0.76 please describe it and what is the difference between rating factor and derating factor?
if an insulated power and control cables of a running gas diesel gensets laid direct in an open trench i.e, trench bed is not rcc of a power house in which rain water, spillage water alwas exists and all power control cables remains submerged even when gas gensets of 480 kw each runningin on load.
