well this concept of lag or lead has meaning only when both
VOLT and CURRENT waves are SINUSOIDAL...
For sinusoidal V and I, usually we consider V as reference
phasor and LEAD indicates I leads V(eg. for capacitive
loads) while LAG indicates I lags V(eg. for inductive
loads).
Basically concept of LEAD is rather ambiguous. coz for
capacitive ckt actually "V lags I" rather than "I leads V".
