All answers explains two different reasons for this..
Both are correct...Mr. Integratorman's answer gives good
explanation for Mr. Blake's answer.. This reason is not
explained in many text books.. These two people are also
right... along with others..

take 100kva DTR( delta/wye ), what ll happen if we connect 11kv to LT side instead of connecting to HT side? will the DTR behave as a step up transformer or something else????
