Hi , We monitor application server SM51 , wht action need to
be taken if any application server down .
Can we start application server dierectly in OS levwel , Or
do we have any other transaction in SAP to start remotely.

If any Application server is down but CI including Message
server is running, then you can start AS directly up using
startsap command issue in Unix flavor after login as
sidadm. If Application servers reside on same host, then you
need to mention explicitly which AS you want to take up. you
can activate or deactivate Application from SM51 and SMMS
too and even shutdown but its not feasible to bring up SAP
from SAP menu.
