why do you add the load short circuit impedance when considering short circuit amperage. It seems that you should only consider supply. If you need to consider loads and you don't know what loads are to be added , what would be a good sub-transient reactance rating for the loads?

WE know that for Inductor X=2pifL,In DC f=0,then X=0 so,V=IX=0;But In the DC excitation of rotor of AC generator,DC motor field coil which coils are inductor so why does not applying DC voltage short the rotor coil of AC generator and field coil of motor?If it would then DC source might be damaged but it is not happened. i am an maintenance engineer. one distribution board have 5 feeder. recently its ELR trips frequently, but it take some times after trip( 10min,20min..)but 3 feeder no load. two feeder only loaded. i checked one feeder IR value all values are above 50Mohm.but B phase to Earth is only 9Mohm.any problem about low value
