switchyards & for 132KV & above 1P/3P tripping is used.

Because most of the line used for transmission by EB are of
220 & 400kV . These lines are of lenght greater then 50 kms.
Due to which any arcing fault which is temp can trip the
line & total suhtdown. The 1p/3p trip with single shot or
multi shot AR is provided in 132kv & above.
