Abhays age after three years will be three-seventh of his
fathers age . ten years ago ,the ratio of their ages was
1:5 . what is Abhays fathers age at present ?(*** plz give
explanation also***)
Answer Posted / ronak
Let suppose, in present abhays age is 'x' and his fathers
age is 'y' . after three years abhays age is x+3 and his
fathers age is y+3 . acc. to ques. abhays age is will be
equal to 3/7 of his fathers age. so x+3=3/7(y+3). and ten
years ago its mean abhays age was x-10 and his fathers age
was y-10 . the ratio was 1:5.so (x-10)=1/5(y-10) . by
solving both equation we get y=42.
so abhays fathers age at present is 42 years.

Alok and Bhanu play the following min-max game. Given the expression N = X - Y – Z where X, Y and Z are variables representing single digits (0 to 9), Alok would like to maximize N while Bhanu would like to minimize it. Towards this end, Alok chooses a single digit number and Bhanu substitutes this for a variable of her choice (X, Y or Z). Alok then chooses the next value and Bhanu, the variable to substitute the value. Finally Alok proposes the value for the remaining variable. Assuming both play to their optimal strategies, the value of N at the end of the game would be • 4 • -18 • 9 • 2
