Presently its measured using radar gun / speed gun, which
uses the principle of doppler shift (used in ultrasonic
flow meters - where shift in frequency is measure of ball
speed). Same principle is used by our trafic police for
measuring vehicle speed.
Also read kokaboora has developed a ball with inbuild
speedometer & small LCD on it, its still on test not
released for professional use.
