As a tester how much server knowledge is enough to know. I
worked in Tomcat 5 and Jboss 4.0.3 server but I didn't have
any knowledge on that please help me to know more about
this? i had lot of questions in this. What architecture,
what configuration, draw how it works..but not able to
manage. please help me.

Basically we used to test the log statements are appearing
in the log file by using unix commands. For accessing the
unix or windows server we need to use the putty tool to
login to that particular server and using the unix commands
we will verify the expected behaviour.

hi all I have an overall experience of 12 years working in an EDP setup(worked in a manufacturing setup in a German MNC). On my request, I was relieved from my duties in Sep 06 for maternity reasons. However I would like to pursue a career in a software organization as a manual tester.
