How does US visa officer verify the educational
certificates at the time of visa interview. Do they
actually cross check anything.

mostly the interview is 2 min, so they dont have time to check but if they have doughty then they will say that your document is duplicate, and some time they hold your visa and they check your doc,(if officer have doughty in your bank pass book they contact to bank manager and conform it.

My toefl score was 78 but I scored very poorly in GRE in both my attempts.But the application requirement was to show toefl score only,I got an admission with an assistantship and now duirng my interview I am planning not to show my GRE score?what if the consular ask me why I havent given GRE cause it seems like mandatory for doing MS?In that case what should my answer be?

i was interview ,the consulate ask me two question,why i choose the university,and i convinced him with that,secondly he ask me what is my sponsor i told him my uncle,he ask what he does i said an accountant in a school and firm,he send with the code that state i did not show capability to complete study for my bachelor program with enough finance and i dont have enough tie,i plan to lie this time for my next appointment in addition to what i gave.what do u thinK?
Dear , thanks for helping me out with all the informations provided in this website. i got rejected for f1 visa twice in this month (dec) in Hyderabad vo said ur not elgible for student visa vat i have to do now (i got less scores gre 810 btech 55% and having 10 backlogs but for the gre i got letter from ets mentioning that there is problem with the validation of my exam thats why they are offering me to re test for the free of cost) i want to apply for the next time in Chennai vat will u suggest me thank u

I am planning to do my higher studies in Fall 2010. I am getting married in June 2010 and I want to do my higher studies in F1 visa. My queries are as follows: Is it true that we cannot pursue higher studies in H4 visa for atleast an year? In what way does the marital status affect my chances of getting F1 visa? Dear Sir, For financial assistance can i take sponsorship from US green card holder(Relatives). It's take any nagitive impact for getting F-1 Visa. actually i applied for work study programme. for that university does not ask GRE and Tofel score.
